Are you a motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to play a key role in a rapidly expanding construction company? Join a high-performing team focused on quality and efficiency within projects valued up to $5M. Our client, a well-established name in the construction industry, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of dynamic projects, as they launch a new division aimed at delivering small-scale, high-quality works.

About the Role
Based in Wellington, this role will see you working on diverse industrial and process sector projects with short, impactful timelines of up to six months. Reporting directly to the Division Manager—an experienced QS by trade—you'll collaborate with another Quantity Surveyor, a Construction Manager, and on-site managers to deliver each project on time and within scope. With a dedicated pre-construction team handling estimating and tendering, you can fully focus on the operational delivery of projects. In addition to Wellington-based work, you'll have occasional travel to project sites across the country, requiring overnight stays twice a month.

Key Responsibilities Manage costings, budgets, and project timelines for small-scale construction projects up to $5M Collaborate with the construction team to ensure seamless execution from start to finish Conduct site visits to monitor progress, manage subcontractors, and ensure quality standards Provide accurate reporting and documentation on project outcomes and deliverables Participate in project meetings, offering insights to drive project success About You
You will bring 4-6 years of Quantity Surveying experience, ideally from a reputable commercial main contractor. Familiarity with PQS, civil, or main contractor work will set you up for success, though main contractor experience is essential.
