Quantity Surveyor - Senior

We are looking for a new enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join our busy Christchurch-based Construction company.About McBride Construction -McBride Construction has been operating since 2009, over the years we have built strong trusted relationships within the Canterbury region.
Our team specialises in multi-unit developments, renovations, insurance repairs, Earthquake repairs, building maintenance and rebuilds.With a team of 30, McBride consists of construction experts and skilled tradesmen from diverse backgrounds, which allows us to undertake projects of various sizes and scopes.
We have successfully delivered over 1500 successful repairs, renovations, maintenance projects, and new build developments in the Canterbury region and beyond.About the role -As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work alongside the dedicated Project Manager, managing the costs and effectively communicating across the team throughout the project lifespan.Your main duties will include:Procurement and cost control on multi-unit developmentsInternal BudgetingSubtrade packages and tendersAssess and create progress claims and variationsRelationship building with internal and external stakeholdersWorking closely with the Project team on challenges and opportunitiesCreating and issuing scopes of work for renovations and repairsBuilding and sustaining relationships with key subcontractorsVariation submissions, management and trackingAbout you -5+ Years of experience in a similar role (preferred)Sound understanding of New Zealand ConstructionProfessional and friendly mannerAbility to work well within a team and communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors and stakeholdersYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a quantity surveyor?How many years' experience do you have in the construction industry?How many years of estimating experience do you have?
