Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - Residential - Taupo OR RotoruaMy client is a professional, well-established residential home builder who prides themselves on building stylish, affordable homes while maintaining an exceptional level of service to their clients from concept to handover.They now require an intermediate Quantity Surveyor to be based in their Taupo OR Rotorua office. This position will see the successful candidate taking control of the pricing for projects and ensuring construction costs are managed efficiently, and schedules of quantities are accurately recorded for material and labour costs.Main responsibilities include:Accurately and efficiently preparing estimates and tenders for clients, projects, and development proposals.Assisting in the formation of tender submissions.Completing assigned projects in a timely manner within budget.Preparing contract documentation, creating specifications, estimates and costs, completing orders, checking invoices, and analyzing costs while the project is in progress.Measuring and pricing all trades along with contracts administration, maintaining a high-quality pricing and take-off system, providing accurate schedules for projects within the company.The QS will maintain and promote the company's commitment to providing a Quality Service and will work as an integral link to the Sales and Project Management team.To be considered for this role:Proven experience in a similar Estimating/QS role within the residential construction sector.Strong communicator, dealing with a wide range of people including clients and suppliers.Strong IT capabilities with the ability to pick up new systems and software packages.Ability to deal with multiple tasks and high volumes.Great sense of humour while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.A competitive salary and many more additional benefits are on offer for the right candidate.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
