Quantity Surveyor - Queenstown or Wanaka We are currently working with two separate companies that require an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Queenstown or Wanaka office.
The role will involve working on complex and unique designs for high-end builds.
You will need a good understanding of translating architectural plans while maintaining good communication with clients and contractors.
Key responsibilities include: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
What's Required: You will have the relevant Quantity Surveying qualifications.
4-6 years New Zealand experience.
Sound contractual knowledge of relevant legislation.
Preferably coming from a commercial construction background.
The ability to develop great sub-contractor relationships.
The ability to communicate with clients directly throughout the various stages of the projects.
You must hold a New Zealand Working Visa.
