Quantity Surveyor Manager/ QS Manager- Auckland Based in Auckland , this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor Manager to join a leading Contractor from the Building Services Industry in the important position of QS Manager .
The primary function of the role will be to control, manage, monitor and report on the commercial aspects of a number of major projects in Auckland and New Zealand. The Quantity Surveyor Manager's role is critical in ensuring that the commercial interests of your employer are protected and well managed, especially when dealing with Tier 1 Head Contractors.
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications are preferred but not essential.
At least 2 years' experience as a QS Manager within a commercial construction or building related environment.
Strong knowledge of contract law, risk, time bars , etc.
Experience in the HVAC/Building Services Industry is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Control, manage, monitor and report on commercial aspects of major projects.
Ensure documentation is in place in accordance with contracts.
Manage relationships in a firm but fair manner to achieve optimal outcomes.
Identify and solve problems early to protect the employer's interests.
On a personal level, you will be motivated to succeed with an ability to relate to all parties internally and externally on a project.
Interviews will be held in Auckland or elsewhere in New Zealand if required.
