You will be expected to possess and maintain an in-depth knowledge of civil and infrastructure works, residential buildings, and commercial work with complex structural and services elements as typically found in commercial buildings.Primary FunctionScoping of projectsManagement of junior quantity surveyorsObtaining and liaising with subcontractors on tenderingMeasurement of builder trades, P&G, and marginEstimate of projectSubmissionsPost tender client negotiationsPre-Construction ServicesKey contact for projects on negotiated projectsPerforming pre-construction services including estimating, programming, staging, and the likeAdvice and research of buildability, material, and programmeCoordinating LTM staff for different aspects of projectContract ManagementStrategic involvement in projects as requiredProject management of projects as requiredCompany representative and key contact on projects.NOTE: this is a 12 month fixed term role, in keeping with programme commitments.About You - you'll need to demonstrateRelevant Tertiary Qualifications. Preferably BSc Quantity SurveyingMinimum of three years as a quantity surveyorExperience in construction/building/project workExcellent interpersonal and relationship building skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsSound commercial judgement, with ability to apply quality decisions
