Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Civil Construction Location: Gisborne, New Zealand Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 (Negotiable based on experience) About the Role: A leading civil construction company in Gisborne is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in civil construction while contributing to impactful projects in the Gisborne region.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing and managing project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports Measure and value construction work for progress payments and final accounts Support in preparing tenders, contracts, and procurement strategies Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure accurate reporting Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project delivery Identify and mitigate financial risks for successful project outcomes Ideal Candidate: Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Graduate level or 1 + years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the civil construction sector Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, or similar) Capable of working both independently and within a team What's on Offer: Competitive salary package between $65,000 and $80,000, depending on experience Opportunities for career growth and professional development A collaborative and inclusive work environment How to Apply: If you're ready to advance your career and make a difference on exciting projects in Gisborne's civil construction industry, please send your CV to (email protected).
