Their vision since the business was established was to deliver high quality, turnkey projects, completed on time and to the client's satisfaction. Their team's extensive and varied experience in Senior Construction Management enables them to deliver a range of professional services including building construction and design and construct projects.Your new roleDue to the company's current project demands and healthy projects confirmed, the need for a Quantity Surveyor is required and would be an asset to come and join this successful business.This is an end-to-end Quantity Surveying role where you will be working closely with the Director and management team to assist with the full project life cycle from pre-tender estimating through to tender, project execution, and final account.Responsibilities include:Assist with the preparation of design and feasibility reportsContract documents, budgets, estimates, and subcontractor quotationsProcurement of subcontractors and agreementsAssess payment claims and variationsMeasure, estimate, and value variation claimsCompile and submission of variation claimsMonthly cost reporting and accurate cost forecastingYou will have strong commercial acumen, experience with contractual negotiations with subcontractor packages, and the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders, which are vital in this role.What you need to succeedDegree qualified in Construction Management/Quantity Surveyor or equivalentExperience with NZ commercial construction projectsRelationships with subcontractors in CanterburyStrong attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership, negotiation, and communication skillsWhat you get in returnYou will be joining a business that operates in a professional and friendly working environment with a positive and passionate attitude about the projects they deliver.
