Our Client:
Our client has been in the New Zealand Construction Sector for the past 6 years with experience in Commercial, Industrial and Residential Buildings. Led by a director with several decades of experience, they boast a strong history of delivering successful projects and having a solid pipeline of work.
The Role:
You will have full control over the delivery of projects that are well-designed, funded, and negotiated with repeat clients. You will be leading an experienced site team of knowledgeable high-performing staff who know how to build! This is filling a big gap in the senior leadership team, presenting a credible long-term position for a high-performing Project Manager, with an opportunity to advance in the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the cost control and financial aspects of projects valued between $1M and $10M.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to support project decision-making.
Administer contracts, including managing variations and progress claims.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Provide regular financial updates and reports.
Key Requirements:
5 years minimum experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a preference for multi-unit residential project experience.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Knowledge of construction contracts and relevant New Zealand legislation.
Proficiency in cost management software such as CostX, Buildsoft, or similar.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
