Offering a level of professionalism from the top down has led to greater control over the quality, cost, and delivery of projects which come as second nature to this business.Your new roleDue to organic growth with secured projects offering a strong pipeline of projects, as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor coming into this business, you will be working with a stable and supportive commercial team, working closely with the project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.This is an end-to-end Quantity Surveying role, which will see you working independently and running your own jobs with the support of the Senior Leadership team. Predominantly contract administration, with some front-end operations as required.Responsibilities include:Contract documents, budgets, estimates, and subcontractor quotationsProcurement of subcontractors and agreementsAssess payment claims and variationsMeasure, estimate, and value variation claimsCompile and submission of variation claimsMonthly cost reporting and accurate cost forecastingYou will have a strong commercial acumen, experience with contractual negotiations with subcontractor packages, and the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders are vital in this role.What you need to succeedDegree qualified in Construction Management/Quantity Surveyor or equivalentA working knowledge of NZ Building Code and NZ Standards (including NZ3604:2011, 3910, 3915)Experience working on commercial construction projects in NZKnowledge of the NZ construction market and subcontractorsStrong attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhat you get in returnYou will be joining a business that operates in a professional and friendly working environment with a positive and passionate attitude about the projects they deliver.
