Key Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include preparing accurate cost estimates for new and ongoing projects, including labour, materials, and overheads. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all financial targets are met. Review and negotiate contract terms with contractors and subcontractors. Monitor project expenditures, track changes, and provide recommendations for cost savings. Manage the procurement process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and selecting suppliers. Generate detailed financial reports, including cost forecasts, variance analysis, and project updates. Identify potential risks related to costs and contracts and develop mitigation strategies. Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and project documents. Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Qualifications 5 years minimum experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in Construction, e.g., Civil works, Earthworks, Landfill and Roading. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite. Effective interpersonal, and both verbal and written communication skills. Performance driven, accountable and possessing a commitment to supporting projects to successful completion on time, within budget and to specified standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a "can do" attitude. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
