Job Description We are a fast-moving, fast-growing nationwide business and we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Development Commercial team in Wellington to help us keep up the momentum!
The Development Commercial team is responsible for establishing initial project feasibilities, budgets and estimates from land acquisition through to completion of preliminary design and approval of resource consent.
As Quantity Surveyor you will work closely alongside the Development Commercial Manager preparing financial feasibilities, including measures in accordance with NZ standard method of building works, preparation of elemental cost plans and financial analysis.
You will also assist the Development Management and Design teams understand the Commercial position of our developments as they progress including tracking of project design, costs and revenue changes through internal monthly reporting Qualifications Who/what are we looking for?
A Quantity Surveyor with approximately 5+ years' experienceAnalytical mindset with the ability to identify and explain critical metrics and issuesExcellent interpersonal, communication and relationship skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in any task undertakenSuitable experience dealing with both commercial and residential buildings, including a basic understanding of civil and infrastructure worksRelevant Tertiary Qualification (preferably BSc Quantity Surveying)Positive "can do" attitude and team playerA thorough understanding of standard methods of measurement as well as preparing elemental cost estimatesIdeally some experience working with a Developer's feasibility study Additional Information What does Summerset have to offer?
