Job DescriptionAbout the role Measuring and pricing for consent and for constructionCalculate material ratesContract negotiations (with clients and contractors)Invoice auditing - processing variations, client progress claims, subcontractor progress payments, financial tracking/reporting and supplier payments; general contracts administration, document controlManage staff when required, programming and quality assurances, the resolution of disputes between contracting partiesPreparation of construction schedule of quantities, project budgetsAssist health and safety officer when required with report writingAttend site visits, sub-contractor engagements and client liaisonDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout you - you'll need to demonstrate General construction knowledge and willingness to learn.Knowledgeable in workplace safety practices.Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, ProjexEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to build and maintain relationshipsAbility to think on your feet and problem solve as requiredMulti-taskerLogistic thinkerComputer literateTime management2-3 years working in the construction industry in the capacity as a junior QS, or working whilst studying towards their qualification
