At Red Stag Timber we are using leading technology to optimise production of quality structural timber. With a forward focus on technology-based solutions, we are seeking a Quality Trainee with critical thinking and advancing technical abilities to join our day shift team.
This is an excellent entry point into the timber industry. Trainees are provided with opportunities to gain industry knowledge through practical experience in timber grading and processing with an emphasis on optimisation technology.
You will be an adaptive, solution-focused individual with mathematical aptitude and the ability to learn how to read, interpret and understand test data as well as certification standards and requirements.
Duties for this role include:
Regular testing of Red Stag Timber products including accurate data entry, analysing data, and preparing reports to ensure compliance with certification standards.
Utilising collected data to strengthen our quality assurance and to inform improvement decisions for value recovery.
Identification of any non-conforming product, testing theories for improvement, and proposing solutions.
Collaborating with team members and assisting production teams with quality issues as they arise.
Key skills and attributes required include:
Minimum level 3 NCEA in Mathematics, Science, and English with Excellence.
Proven interest in advancing technologies and technologically astute.
Previous involvement with computer-based studies advantageous.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with sound reasoning skills.
Great communication, interpersonal skills, and a 'can-do' attitude.
Detail-oriented and strong commitment to quality outcomes.
Proven reliability.
This is a Dayshift position working Monday to Thursday 5.00am - 3.40pm, 40 hours per week.
