Position Overview:
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Quality and Improvement Manager to join our team in Invercargill. As a dedicated quality champion, the successful candidate will play a key role in leading the development, implementation and maintenance of effective quality management systems, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives across our organisation. With a team of three direct reports, this is a rewarding role where you have the opportunity to partner with a range of people and make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Take an active leadership role with a specific focus on quality, risk and safety management and planning, quality improvement and workforce development activities.Oversee the execution of quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO:9001 Quality Management System.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for quality enhancement and process optimisation.Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor the effectiveness of quality management systems and identify areas for improvement.Support and promote an improvement culture that everyone in the workforce can participate in.Develop and deliver training programs to build awareness and capability in quality management principles and practices, providing coaching across the organisation.Qualifications Required:
New Zealand qualification in Quality ManagementFormal accreditation in Business Improvement, Project Management, or Business methodology (e.g., Lean, PMP, or Prince 2).Key Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems.Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices including process mapping and ISO framework and accreditationDemonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Why Join PowerNet:
