Who will you be working for?
We are excited to be partnering with a leading design manufacturer of medical equipment and devices, based in the beautiful Taranaki. Our client is ISO:13485 certified for medical device manufacturing and are committed to delivering high quality products.

Due to internal promotion they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor or Quality Engineer to oversee the maintenance of their quality management system in accordance with ISO:13485.

What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will lead and participate in completion of a variety of the day-to-day activities of the Quality Assurance Team, which will include but not limited to:
Co-ordinating and scheduling internal audits with the quality contractor to identify non-conformances and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are taken
Leading QA Team members conducting final product and inwards goods inspection
Ensuring that all customer complaints are investigated, documented, and resolved in a timely and effective manner
Manage the CAPA system (including SNCRs & NCRs) to ensure that all corrective and preventive actions are taken in a timely manner and are effective
Drive and co-ordinate the closure of open ECRs (Engineering Change Requests)
Interfacing with R&D, Sales, Production, Supply Chain, suppliers and customers, the role offers exposure to all facets of their manufacturing operation.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
3 to 5 years' experience in a quality engineering role in a regulated industry, preferably in the medical device industry
Strong knowledge of ISO:13485 quality management standard
Knowledge of and understanding of quality principles and statistical techniques
Strong, pragmatic problem-solving and analytical skills
A practical mechanical and/or electrical aptitude is preferable
Strong leadership skills, and ability to build relationships at all levels within the organisation.
