Quality Control Supervisor

We are seeking expressions of interest for the role of Quality Control Supervisor at our Godfrey Hirst, Lower Hutt site. This is a key position, responsible for ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are met throughout the production processes to consistently deliver high quality products to our customers. The Quality Supervisor will champion, support and/or lead quality improvement initiatives. This person will liaise with other departments throughout the organization to ensure that the quality system is functioning properly and where appropriate, will advise on changes to enable others to achieve or maintain high quality standards.  The Quality Control Department operates 24/5 as does the rest of the plant but general hours are 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.  Within the framework of our quality systems the Quality Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System and assisting with group wide audits. Some travel to other sites may be required. The Quality Supervisor monitors and advises on how the system is performing, which may often include the publication of statistics and development of quality goals and targets. Key aspects of the role will include: • Manage adherence to quality requirements • Complaint reduction and compliance with customers • Internal and external auditing • Ensure quality documentation and databases are maintained and accurate • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints • Reporting and eliminating non-conformances in process and/or product. Previous experience in QC systems and Supervision in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
