Testing & Quality Assurance (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeLocation: Permanent, Auckland or WellingtonWhat you'll doThe Information and Communication Technology Group (ICT) provides a wide range of ICT planning, implementation, operation and support services as a shared service to the KiwiRail Group.As our Quality Assurance (QA) Practice Lead you'll be accountable for the quality assurance processes for ICT products, services and systems. You'll have responsibility for ensuring all ICT systems meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, security and user satisfaction.A critical focus of the role is to ensure product quality and continuous improvement by developing, implementing and managing the testing processes, leading the QA Team and coordinating with cross-functional teams. You'll be a champion of innovative QA methodologies to improve software quality, speed and scalability across the organisation.Key accountabilities include:Defining and establishing quality standards and KPIs for ICT projectsOverseeing the development, maintenance and documentation of test cases, scripts and environmentsFostering an engaged and collaborative culture within the QA TeamIdentifying potential quality risks early and recommending mitigation strategiesContinuously assessing and improving to enhance efficiency and quality and ensuring compliance with industry standards and policiesWhat you'll needYou'll have five plus years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least two years in a management or lead role. Complementing this, you'll bring to the role:An advanced understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processesHands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworksExperience in testing across multiple platforms, including web, mobile and cloudAn understanding of Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and ConfluenceA full, clean, valid NZ Driver's LicenceA strong, collaborative leadership and communication styleWhat you'll getCompetitive salary plus 4% KiwiSaver employer contributionExtensive support and developmentAccess to discounted travel, health insurance & holiday houses across NZ as part of the Staff Welfare TrustA strong Zero Harm policy to keep you safeOur people are everything.
