Quality Assurance Officer

ANZCO Foods Eltham have an opportunity for a QA Auditor to join the team. This permanent position reports directly to the Compliance Team Leader, and is responsible for ensuring the various regulatory and customer (both internal and external) requirements are met, and that systems are developed, maintained and improved and meet regulatory, compliance and industry best practice.
Duties and Responsibilities Ensuring quality control procedures and corrective actions are implemented in accordance with company documented procedures.
Ensuring compliance is met and any procedure amendment to be made in liaison with Document Control personnel.
Providing feedback to other departments in relation to quality and compliance.
Discussing with the Beef Operations Supervisor and Beef Supervisors, any issues relating to production costs throughput, yields, waste, personnel and quality which may affect customer product satisfaction and the profitability of the company.
Pursue ongoing improvements and innovations of products and services.
Skills and Experience required Previous experience in a meat/food processing environment.
Experience with auditing against documented systems and procedures.
Proven administration experience and knowledge.
NCEA Level 3 or equivalent.
Experience in regulatory compliance would be an advantage.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
An ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across the business.
A proactive approach to problem solving, using initiative and maximising resources.
