We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Officer to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost management throughout the execution of projects.
If you're committed to ensuring excellence and have a keen eye for detail, we want you on our team!Nga Mahi | The OpportunityThe Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of quality assurance on-site, including documentation, testing, inspections, and truck coordination.
This role will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while supporting the smooth execution of paving operations.
For the right person we are happy to provide all training required for this role.Measure the site and complete Site Plan Measure Up, providing mix information to the Foreman.Fill out mix usage sheets and collect truck data for accurate daily job records.Participate in pre-work inspections to ensure proper paving preparation.Coordinate truck movements on and off-site to maintain workflow and minimise wait times.Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures for asphalt and chip seal projects.Perform site inspections and audits to ensure quality standards are met.Oversee testing of materials (asphalt, aggregates) for compliance with specifications.Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports.Assist in delivering training sessions on quality control measures and safety protocols.Investigate non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions, supporting continuous improvement.Carry out general labour duties.Minimum RequirementsStrong knowledge of quality assurance processes, specifically in asphalt and chip seal projects.Good with numbers.Experience in material testing, site inspections, and record-keeping.Excellent communication and documentation skills.A commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.Experience in training and mentoring staff on quality control measures.A proactive approach to identifying and solving quality issues.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.
