Platinum Recruitment are proud to be partnering with Contego on the search for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager.
About Contego: Contego specialise and are market leaders in Design and Build and ECI Passive Fire Protection contracts, intumescent coatings as well as taking care of existing building compliance and BWOF with regard to Passive Fire Protection.
They aim to deliver best practice solutions across all of their projects, services and disciplines, priding themselves on their commitment to safety and excellence in all of their projects.
About the role: In this fixed-term position, reporting to the Managing Director, the Quality Assurance Manager's primary objective will be obtaining ISO 9001 accreditation and ensuring the highest standards of quality management are met and maintained.
This role is instrumental in auditing current internal systems and processes, identifying areas of improvement, and taking charge of the development and implementation of quality management systems and procedures.
To set this role up for success, upon starting the role, you will be visiting the branches to meet the team and gain a deep understanding of the company across different locations including Dunedin, Queenstown, Christchurch, and New Plymouth.
Key Responsibilities: Achieving ISO 9001 certification for the company.
Educate and upskill management team on ISO 9001 requirements.
Provide training and support to ensure thorough understanding of QM principles.
Develop and implement QM systems and procedures.
Conduct regular audits on internal systems and processes.
Prepare detailed reports on compliance.
Identify areas that require improvement.
Capable of having courageous and honest conversations with the Managing Director.
Quarterly visits to a branch.
About the successful candidate: We are seeking a self-starting candidate with demonstrated experience of obtaining ISO 9001 accreditation along with improving quality assurance within a company.
You will have the ability to teach and develop staff's understanding of quality management principles and also have excellent auditing and reporting capabilities.
You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal.
The successful candidate will be comfortable having courageous and honest conversations with all stakeholders around their quality systems and processes, providing solutions, and will have a real passion for systems and compliance.
