About the role At Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI), we are New Zealand's leading food and grocery retailer, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced QA Lead to join our team!
You'll play a pivotal role in enabling QA Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions across our Agile Release Train, driving innovation, and building capabilities within FSNI.
As part of our high-performing IT Testing team, you'll empower your team to continuously improve, drive quality, and lead by example.
You won't just manage; you'll mentor, inspire, and guide your team to succeed in their missions.

What You'll Be Doing: Lead, mentor, and empower QA Engineers within squads to ensure high-quality delivery.
Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and standards across the Agile Release Train.
Advocate for QA best practices, champion test automation, and introduce cutting-edge testing tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, building a culture of excellence and accountability.
Own and improve the test environment stack, ensuring reliability and performance.
About You: You will be a natural leader with a passion for quality and an eye for detail.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment, and love collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You will also be ready to make a real impact by empowering others, building a culture of excellence, and driving innovative solutions.
Other keys to your success will be: 7+ years of experience in QA, including 2+ years as a Test Lead.
Expertise in testing web applications, mobile apps, and modern microservices.
Strong experience in Agile environments and Scrum methodology.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a knack for mentoring and inspiring teams.
Passion for software testing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Bonus Points: Experience in retail, POS software, or SAP integration.
Familiarity with performance testing and physical device testing (e.g., EFTPOS, scales, etc.).
