Experience with plastic extrusion would be beneficial, however not essential as we willing to train and develop candidates who have the willingness to learn.Key AccountabilitiesSetting up, monitoring, calibrating and tuning on all extrusion linesOperating extrusion equipment to manufacture polyethylene solid walled pipe between 063 and 1000 mm diameterTroubleshooting faults and identifying causes of manufacturing defectsMachine maintenanceQuality AssuranceThe following attributes are essential for the right person:Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environmentPlastic extrusion experience will be beneficialMechanical aptitude and technical capacityStrong work ethic and reliabilityCurrent forklift driver's licenseCurrent full driver's licenseFork lift license with F endorsement would be advantageousCommitment to Health & SafetyShift Pattern:1 x Night shift Monday to Thursday 18:00 to 06:001 x Weekend day shift Friday to Monday 06:00 to 18:00In return we offer:Competitive wage rateMonthly bonus subject to meeting KPIsSouthern Cross Medical InsuranceLife insurance & Free WillsAbout UsAsmuss, a privately-owned NZ organisation which has been in the family for 100 years.
