Orion are looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator (Underground) to plan and implement audits and inspections of contracted work for newly installed underground distribution assets, this is crucial to ensure we comply with our standards and design specifications.

The role * Plan and conduct audits during construction, livening and after livening of required sites * Build strong relationships with internal and external parties including designers to resolve complex and technical matters * Communicate non-compliance issues to the appropriate department to ensure immediate action is taken * Ensure network construction service providers comply with our Network Design and Operating Standards and Technical Specifications * Provide support to the Network Portfolio team to collect accurate information while assisting with designs and design reviews * Report on audit completion progress and provide monthly quality governance reports * Assist with emergency work situations and attend network stand overs when required About you * Extensive knowledge of electrical network reticulation demonstrating an understanding of electric power distribution systems with a relevant qualification in the electrical industry * Knowledge and understanding of the current safety rules and the NZ regulatory environment and how that applies to the electrical industry * Knowledge of H&S in Employment Act, Transit NZ Code of Practice for Temp Traffic Mgmt, National Code of Practice for Utility Operators' Access to Transport Corridors and Local Authority Bylaws * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex information to various audiences * A curious and inquisitive mindset with a methodical and customer centric approach to your work We offer You'll find at Orion, you can come as you are and just be you.
