What will I be doing?
Overall purpose:
As a Quality Assurance & Compliance manager, your role is to ensure Thatcher's has management systems appropriate to current legislation and implement them effectively.
You will be leading a team to deliver a programme of continuous improvement and maintaining the company wide culture of quality at the heart of everything the business does. Providing specialist advice and support to the management teams regarding H&S and environmental matters.
The role will also involve:

Internal audits of site and systems
Coordinating training events, recording evidence and reporting compliance
Writing monthly KPI reports
Administering document management systems to ensure procedures and policies are up to date and controlled
Support with/ensure completion of risk assessments
Ensure compliance to ISO 14001 and BRCGS
Record and investigate non-conformance/ compliance
Record and investigate accidents, hazards, near misses
Support area managers in setting and meeting objectives to drive improvement
Coordinate the support of external consultants (arrange external audits, ensure actions are completed, specific projects/knowledge)

What skills do I need?

Able to work independently and in the wider team
Coach and mentor the compliance team
Experience in food quality management systems
Experience in H&S management systems
Experience in Environmental management systems
Maintenance of quality and safety records
Knowledge of HACCP systems

Hours
This role is a permanent full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm.
