Laboratory & Technical Services (Science & Technology)
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Quality & Technical Lead, ensuring our Laboratory maintains high standards of quality and compliance as well as continuously innovates. The role will drive the establishment and achievement of laboratory quality system targets while continuously monitoring and reviewing trends. This will expose the successful candidate to leading comprehensive quality training programs for staff and provide ongoing support for both technical and quality-related aspects.
Oceania Dairy is a dairy manufacturing plant located in Glenavy, South Canterbury, with a diverse workforce of 400 staff, who specialize in the creation of Milk Powder, Infant Formula and UHT milk. In the role of Quality & Technical Leader you will be responsible for (not limited to):
To monitor and report on key quality targets internal audits, QCP, LIR and NCRs.
To maintain and improve laboratory quality systems and documentation.
To provide training at all levels for the laboratory quality system.
To monitor and improve staff skills and knowledge for laboratory quality and technical requirements.
The role is required to be an active member in method verification and troubleshooting.
The Quality & Technical Lead will undertake other duties as reasonably directed by Assistant Laboratory Manager from time to time.
The successful applicant will have:
Tertiary bachelor's degree (NZQA Level 7) in science or related field.
Required to draw on skills and experience related to specific activities, equipment or work practices: 1 - 2 years.
Auditing experience.
Key technical person (KTP) experience.
Working history in an IANZ accredited laboratory.
Interpersonal skills and receptiveness.
