Oceania Dairy is seeking an individual with a talent for communication, flexibility, adaptability, and precision to join our team as a Quality and Compliance Officer working primarily within Dryer plant operations.
This exciting position offers an opportunity for someone with strong communication abilities to ensure our departments are working efficiently to meet regulatory standards and strive beyond that to set a standard of quality.
The role of Quality and Compliance Officer is vital in supporting our business through ensuring legislative requirements are met for both product and organisation.
Critically, the successful Quality and Compliance Officer will support our plant operations with meeting regulatory compliance, ensuring standards are met and kept, and verifying product to meet benchmarks.
In the role of Quality and Compliance Officer you will be responsible for (not limited to):

Provide professional quality support to business departments and proactively support Quality continuous improvements.
Assist with external audits and maintaining accreditation such as FSSC22000 and continue to improve existing systems.
Daily monitoring of ingredients testing results to ensure compliance to the specifications and NZ regulations.
Reporting and management of out of specification raw materials and documentation requirements.
Daily monitoring of in-process final product testing results to ensure compliance to product and process specifications.
Aiding product graders with following up/segregation and cut off testing on out of specification products.
The successful applicant will have:

A Food Technology/ Science or similar science-based qualification along with a good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of the food production process and understanding of the legislative framework - dairy industry would be an advantage.
Flexible and adaptable due to the on-the-go nature of the role.
Ability to maintain open channels of communication to ensure efficient work and product flow across the full production line.
Talent at maintaining a solutions-focussed approach to resolving issues and aim to produce successful outcomes when working with others.
The minimum salary for this position is: $65,000.00
The maximum salary for this position is: $85,000.00
Minimum hours of work: 40 hours per week.
Location: Glenavy, Canterbury, New Zealand.
