Qualified Teacher (Beststart Parklands)

About the role BestStart Parklands are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher to join their energetic team of educators (They are open to a new graduate teacher- supporting you in taking your career to the next level).  The successful applicant will be responsible for: Overseeing tamariki and centre routines; being able to fully participate in centre activities across the mixed ages (2-5 year olds) Demonstrating and promoting the philosophy of the centre and what we stand for Being a caring advisor to parents and families/whanau regarding our policies, practices, and curriculum Role requirements: Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:  B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification  Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning  Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices  Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality  This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7.00am-6.00pm, Monday-Friday.  Mo matou I About us:  BestStart Parklands:  Friendly, home-like centre value parent/whanau involvement and regularly provide social opportunities  We have recently developed strong relationships with fellow kura in the community where tuakana teina relationships are being formed  We celebrate many special events at BestStart Parklands, both culturally and for fun  Our centre vision is centred around three core areas: Belonging  is important for tamariki when developing their own identity, this helps to develop a sense of connection.  Being  is about children expressing themselves as individuals and developing their personality, culture, and learning.
