We are looking for someone who has fun, finds joy in working with tamariki and has respectful care at the heart of their practice. Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia teaching approach would be an advantage but a willingness to learn and a passion for teaching are the most important criteria.Our Avondale centre is spacious, warm, and inviting with a calm, natural, and home-like environment rich in open-ended resources and experiences that offer limitless possibilities for exploration to enhance children's sensory development and imagination. In addition to our well-resourced home rooms, we have a separate upstairs atelier and additional learning space for investigations or active movement sessions. We maintain higher than regulation ratios across the centre to ensure quality care and learning for our tamariki.Our centre philosophy is inspired by RIE and Reggio Emilia approaches to teaching and learning. The team thrives under the mentorship and guidance of our group curriculum leader, who supports us with our curriculum planning and offers professional development to match the teachers' individual needs and interests.
