Volunteer Opportunity: Massage Therapist at Hospice - Start Date: February 2024.
Are you a compassionate and qualified Massage Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact? We're inviting you to join our supportive team, bringing comfort and relaxation to Hospice patients and their carers. Here's what you need to know:
When You'll Help: Mondays to Thursdays, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (hours negotiable).You can volunteer just one day a week—there's no expectation to cover all days.The role will be shared among a small team of volunteers.Where You'll Work: A warm, welcoming space with all supplies provided, so you can focus on what you do best.Who We're Looking For: A certified massage therapist (minimum Level 4).Experience or knowledge in the health field is a plus but not essential.Someone who is self-motivated, dependable, and able to show genuine empathy when working with individuals facing significant health challenges.What You'll Gain: The chance to connect deeply with patients and carers, making a real difference in their day.A place in a caring and supportive team that values your time and skills.Why It Matters: Your contribution helps us support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal: Goal 3 – Good Health & Well-Being.This is more than volunteering—it's an opportunity to bring comfort, care, and human connection to those who need it most.If you have questions or want to chat about the role, we'd love to hear from you. Requirements: Must be a certified massage therapist (minimum Level 4).Must have no criminal convictions.Must be reliable and dependable.A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
