A position has become available for a registered teacher to join our wonderful, unique centre.
This is a role working in our beautiful, custom designed and fitted out infant and toddler room, with our youngest tamariki which is an intimate environment of up to ten pepi and three kaiako working in a whanau group.
Our centre is a home away from home where we value free play and a relationship focused approach to teaching and learning.
We believe that our tamariki are masters of learning through play.
We support their autonomy to explore, learn and grow in a spacious, well-prepared environment and enormous outdoor play space.

Ideally you will have a heart for serving the local community as our centre operates within a community hub where we focus on supporting our families with complete wraparound services.
The successful applicant will have: A passion for best respectful practice with infants and toddlers and interest in the work of Magda Gerber (RIE), Emmi Pikler and Reggio Emilia are a bonus but full learning support will be provided if you are open and willing to learn.
BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification Strong communication skills, initiative and team spirit.
Be passionate about supporting children in a relationship focused, play based learning environment An understanding and commitment to respectful teaching and caregiving The ability to be a reflective educator.
Flexible, self motivated and with a desire to grow professionally and be a reflective educator Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality What will your responsibilities be: Taking responsibility for a key caregiving group of pepi and their whanau Working to support a small and intimate team to provide high quality care and education for tamariki and whanau Taking responsibility for assessment, planning and documentation of learning and development for tamariki Bringing love, laughter and joy to our whare and participating in creating a home away from home for all who walk through our doors Engaging in regular hui, professional development opportunities and further learning and development.

The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $26 and $42 depending on experience.
