We have a rare opportunity for a skilled Electrical Tradesman to join our maintenance team at our Kennington site, just 10 minutes east of Invercargill.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum of 40 hours per week and frequent opportunities for overtime, at a trade exclusive overtime rate.

As an Electrical Tradesman at Niagara, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the sawmill and remanufacturing plant. You'll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, servicing electrical breakdowns, supporting new installations, and contributing to electrical improvements and project work.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventative electrical maintenance and fault-finding
Responding to and repairing electrical breakdowns in a fast-paced industrial setting
Installing, maintaining, and servicing PLCs, VSDs, switch gear and motors
Commissioning new electrical systems
Collaboration with the wider Maintenance Team, including our Engineers
Electrical projects and installations, including switchboards and power supply systems
To be considered, we require candidates to have:
Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience in New Zealand
EWRB registration as an Electrician
Familiarity with 3-phase power systems, fault finding, and PLC programming
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Physically fit and able to work in a demanding industrial environment
Full NZ driver's license and the right to work in New Zealand
