Our idyllic Steiner Kindergarten in the Bay of Islands is seeking an experienced, passionate, creative and inspiring ECE teacher to join our team in term 1, 2025.Our small, rural centre is licensed for 30 tamariki aged 2-6 years old and we operate from 8.30am–3pm, Monday to Friday.
We are governed by the Bay of Islands Waldorf Education Trust which also runs a weekly Steiner playgroup and supports 3 Steiner-inspired classrooms at nearby Pakaraka School.Our ideal candidate will:Be Steiner trained or bring experience working in a Waldorf ECE settingHold an ECE teaching qualification and full teacher registrationBe committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.What we can offer:A supportive, passionate team of kaiako and governance as well as a thriving community networkRural experiences including gardening, beaches and community excursions exploring the beautiful Bay of IslandsFull-time role with 35hrs per week including non-contact time (part-time option available)Pay parityAll meals provided (healthy, nutritious, vegetarian)No fees for your children if they are enrolled during work hoursOngoing professional development and PGC.Please note: Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
