Qualified Butcher

We're excited to announce that New World The Sands will be joining the community next month! With a brand-new store and impressive offerings across grocery, butchery, seafood, deli, bakery, produce, and liquor, we can't wait to open our doors to the Papamoa community!
With our opening date set for November 2024, we are seeking a qualified butcher to join the team! You'll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community.
Shifts: Tues-Sat (6:00am – 2:30pm)
The Role:
Breaking, boning, slicing, and cutting all carcasses and meat in preparation for sale.
Assisting in the daily operations and general needs of the Butchery Department.
Ensuring only quality product is presented for sale.
Assisting with production planning and prioritizing of work to ensure we meet the demands of our Butchery Department.
Happy to help and advise customers with any queries they may have, ensuring excellent customer service standards are delivered at all times.
Understanding and complying with all compliance requirements in regards to Health & Safety and Food Safety.
Working effectively in a team, ensuring working areas are well organized and managed.
What we're looking for:
Knowledge and passion about the butchery trade and the production of the finest quality meat products.
Relevant butchery qualification or equivalent experience.
Willingness to contribute ideas and participate in the overall success of the Butchery Department.
Reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
