This unmissable role will give youthe opportunity to work to the top of your scope in the biggest Cardiothoraciccentre in the South Island. This means you will be working alongside some ofthe regions most experienced consultants covering specialised and diverse casesincluding Cath Lab and acute procedures.
You willwork closely in a team of 5 to cover all cardiac and thoracic needs within thedepartment. Your cardiothoracic days and oncall commitments will be spacedacross the 5 weeks base roster. When you are not in cardiothoracics your skillsand expertise will be utilised in other areas and specialities throughout thedepartment. You will also be part of a small group of cell saver techniciansand utilised throughout the department in complex cases.
Ko waikoe| About You; In thisrole, you will be responsible for:
Provide professional,technical and clinical assistance to Anaesthetists; Provide safeadministration of anaesthesia to patients; Anticipate problems andexceptional patient care; Co-ordinatedocumentation to ensure the patient receives effective care; Mentoring traineeAnaesthetic Technicians/ RNAA's A recognisedqualification within New Zealand or international equivalent; Registration with theMedical Sciences Council or eligibility to obtain; Strong interpersonalskills; Interest/Experience inCardiothoracic Surgery with the desire to grow this skillset; Motivated to embracechallenges and change.
