We are looking for a Qualifications Development Facilitator | Ringa Hanga to do just that in an existing team. This role is based in our Wellington office and involves engaging with industry and providers to develop and maintain a range of qualifications, standards, micro-credentials, and other products to support vocational education for our diverse range of sectors. Additionally, we analyse programme endorsement and micro-credential support applications from education providers.Proven experience in design and development of qualifications, standards and/or programmes for vocational education is essential, while knowledge of NZQA quality assurance systems is also beneficial. We are committed to being a gold standard Te Tiriti o Waitangi partner so competency in and commitment to te reo Maori me ona tikanga including matauranga Maori (Maori language, customs, protocols and knowledge) are equally valued.You will be able to manage multiple projects to deadlines, including facilitating diverse groups (both face-to-face and online) to produce products that ensure our sectors have confidence in the skills of graduates. This will require translating complex technical concepts for both industry and education experts to ensure robust and informed discussion. A key focus for us is increasing the numbers of Maori, Pacific and tangata whaikaha/disabled people who find educational success in our sectors so experience in working with relevant groups would be useful.Please note this is a fixed-term role to 30 June 2025, due to uncertainty around the future of workforce development councils.We'd love to hear from you if you have:Strong analytical, writing, and editing skillsKnowledge and experience of the NZQCF and the secondary or tertiary education sectorAbility to operate in te ao Maori and a diverse range of New Zealand contexts, including vocational and kaupapa Maori education systemsPassion for the creative, culture, technology and/or sport and recreation sectorsExcellent communication and facilitation skillsAbility to manage self to work both independently and within a teamPerseverance, stamina and are solution focusedA passion to give voice to te ao Maori in vocational education.We are a workplace that values and utilises diverse and inclusive thinking, people and behaviours.
