They care about each and every step of production to deliver ethically farmed goodness to New Zealanders from paddock to plate.Their continued growth and success have seen the creation of a brand new, purpose-built cool store and distribution hub at the centre of its operation, here in the Waikato.About the roleTaking a unique approach as a trusted advisor, this role is more than just compliance. You will be responsible for holding the group's operational activities to the appropriate legal and ethical standards, while enabling the business to meet its business goals. A focus for this role will be:Maintaining quality, environmental and food safety control requirements across production, warehouse and logistics operations.Undertaking internal audits and checks, working alongside the team to identify risk and resolve non-conformance concerns.Acting as the key point of contact for external agencies, including MPI, AQ and consent authorities, to maintain critical accreditation, certification and licences.Providing support and guidance to all areas of the business, ensuring key documentation, including SOPs, remain current and relevant.Responding to customer compliance enquiries.Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives to support the organisation's goals and ambitions.Skills and experienceOur ideal candidate will have:Proven experience in quality control within a food environment; a background in the meat industry or chilled food would be ideal.A strong understanding of regulatory standards and requirements, including HACCP, RMP and OMARs.The ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge and confidence in leading the audit process, influencing change and improving outcomes.Exceptional problem solving, planning and organisational skills to flex and adapt to business needs.Effective communication with a strong attention to detail.If this sounds like your next career move, don't delay - apply now!For a confidential discussion, please contact Helen Dale on 027 267 9725.Position Description
