A bit about the role Our Purchasing team process on average 2,000 lines per day through Dynamics in all categories for SkyCity Auckland, Hamilton and Queenstown. The team works hard and are responsible for ensuring all of our SkyCity sites in New Zealand receive the goods and services we require to keep our business running.
As Purchasing Coordinator, you'll be involved in a wide range of purchasing activities at SkyCity. You'll prioritise and actively manage all requests associated with the purchasing mailbox. You'll be the key point of contact for all internal and external customers relating to arranging the purchase of goods that the different departments at SkyCity require to ensure the smooth running of our business. It's an important role in our supply management process!
A bit about you You'll be a good communicator as you'll work with all levels of staff and negotiate with suppliers. You'll also be analytical and are keen to identify room for improvement and potential risks, be able to process information quickly and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
The 'must-haves' The Purchasing team works one Saturday every 2 months from 6am - 2pm (with the following Monday as a day off) so you do need to be available to do this. You'll also have Supply Chain or Customer Service experience and have advanced computer literacy skills.
