Salary: £12.82 - £12.82 per hour (Depending on experience)

Contract type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pupil Support Assistant for a reputed school in Christchurch. This role is vital in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
About the Role As an Pupil Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum and thrive in their educational environment. You will provide targeted academic and emotional support to students with special educational needs, facilitating their learning and development within an inclusive educational environment. Your role will involve working closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create and implement effective support strategies.
Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs, adapting assistance to meet individual needs.Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning and delivery, focusing on inclusive education practices.Monitor and document students' progress, providing regular updates to the teaching team.Engage in developing and implementing individualised support plans to aid student development.Foster a safe and nurturing environment, encouraging positive interactions and participation.Liaise with parents and caregivers, maintaining clear communication about student progress.What You'll Bring: Previous experience in a similar role or as a Pupil Support Assistant, preferably within a special educational needs educational setting.Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students who have additional learning needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students and staff.Relevant or additional qualifications in special educational needs or learning support are advantageous.Profound knowledge of various SEN strategies and approaches, with a commitment to continuous professional development.Adaptability to work across different classroom settings and with a range of learning needs.Why Join GSL Education?
