Korero mo te turanga - About the role TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Pukenga - Lecturer in Nursing to join the Te Kura Tapuhi Hauora - School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Practice . The Pukenga - Lecturer in Nursing will assist with the development and delivery of the Master of Nursing Practice programme (MNP), support research in the School, and provide supervisory assistance to the School's growing master's and doctoral programme.
Undertaking impactful research and scholarship that: engages constructively and productively with colleagues within and outside the Universityis evidenced by a range of activities (e.g., building positive relationships with communities and relevant organisations, publishing in international and domestic journals, research funding, community engagement and outreach)successfully attracts and supports research students into the discipline of nursing.Dedication to teaching and learning as evidenced by: Academically rigorous, research-led teaching that stimulates student learningCoordinating and teaching postgraduate coursesA pedagogical approach that reflects Te Tiriti o Waitangi, our location in the Pacific, and a diverse student body that includes international students from a range of backgroundsExperience in the research-practice nexus and/or community engagement will be considered an assetO pumanawa - About you The successful applicant be an enthusiastic teacher, with relevant qualifications and clinical/teaching experience commensurate with the level of appointment. Clinical experience in the areas of primary and community health or in mental health and addiction services will be considered an asset.
