Are you a seasoned communications professional ready to make a significant impact in the vocational education sector?Skills Consulting Group, a dynamic organisation based in New Zealand with a global footprint, is seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team.Skills Group is a leader in vocational education, offering workplace training, consulting services to businesses, designing industry training frameworks, and delivering campus-based training to individuals. As we continue to grow and evolve, we recognise the need for focused communications support to effectively position our story in the market and drive our future strategy forward.Reporting directly to Jane Kennelly, our Director of People, Marketing, and Stakeholder Management, the Corporate Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in establishing and executing our corporate communications function.Key responsibilities include:Strategic counsel and crisis management support, including the development of a robust crisis communications framework.Creation and implementation of a thought leadership program to solidify Skills Consulting Group as an industry leader.Stakeholder communications, including local and industry stakeholder engagement plans with clear, concise messaging.Media relations management, including training spokespeople, crafting media responses, and proactive media engagement.Executive communications support, including newsletters and briefing papers for company leadership.Government relations and regulatory affairs assistance as needed.The successful candidate will focus on laying the groundwork for the corporate communications function. This includes developing the crisis communications framework, conducting media training, launching the thought leadership program, and crafting stakeholder engagement plans. Close collaboration with the CEO, marketing, and internal communications teams will be essential for success.Requirements:Proven experience in corporate communications, crisis management, and media relations.Excellent strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into effective communication strategies.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Budget management experience preferred.Join Us:If you're ready to take on a rewarding challenge in a fast-paced environment and make a lasting impact in the vocational education sector, we want to hear from you!
