Psychologist at Ministry of Education, AucklandHelp shape the future of education in New Zealand.Help shape the future of EducationWe work to shape an education system that delivers equitable and excellent outcomes.This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Botany Office.As a psychologist, you will play a critical role in our region's Learning Support team by:Identifying patterns or contributing factors that may be influencing learning, wellbeing, and behaviour.Enhancing inclusive practices in early learning services, schools, and other educational settings.Providing professional support and guidance to schools, teachers, and families.Providing appropriate in-depth specialist assessment and analysis for evidence-informed interventions.Working as part of a trans-disciplinary team where a child's needs are complex.Providing objective consultative analysis, advice, and information on project requirements.Applying the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and other relevant government initiatives in all aspects of service provision.Salary range: $85,416.00 - $126,000.00 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.About you | Mohou akeTo be successful you will need:A master's level tertiary qualification and a post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or equivalent.To be a New Zealand Registered Psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act and hold a current practicing certificate, OR be registered as an Intern Psychologist.Ability to translate practitioner knowledge into practical information.Ability to co-ordinate service provision in a multi-agency, trans-disciplinary setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga.If this opportunity interests you, please submit your cover letter and resume by using the 'apply' button.
