Flexible options will be considered.Term: 12-month fixed term to cover parental leave commencing March 2025Service: Health PsychologyLocation: Taranaki Base Hospital, New PlymouthYou will work within a small, supportive team of psychologists to provide comprehensive assessment and intervention for people inpatient at Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth, and for people in the community who have been diagnosed with cancer.
You will liaise closely with individuals, families and the multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care.Mo to matou ropu - About our teamThe health psychology team provides psychological interventions to medical patients for various purposes.
We generally work within a relatively short-term, problem-focused treatment model and offer outpatient appointments to support people living with health conditions.Mou - About youA successful applicant will demonstrate clear communication, the ability to build connections, and excellent time management skills.
You will independently manage a caseload of varying complexity and complete assessments with an interprofessional lens.You will need to have:Registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.The ability to work collaboratively with others to provide integrated care to clients with diverse challenges.Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and knowledge of working with Maori models of practice.Ideally, at least a year of experience working in a physical health or disability field of practice.Working visa/NZ residence (as appropriate).Click the apply now button to send your application directly to us.
