Psychologist - CAF North Community and Outreach TeamFulltime (40 hours per week) permanent positionNZ Registered Psychologist with relevant postgraduate diploma is essentialExperience in a mental health setting is highly desirableMo te tunga | About the RoleChild, Adolescent & Family Mental Health Service (North Community & Outreach Team) is a specialist mental health service that provides assessment and treatment of young people up to 18 years of age who present with serious mental health problems, and their families/whanau.We have a fulltime (40 hours per week) fixed term position for a NZ Registered Psychologist with a PostGraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or Child and Family Psychology and a clear passion for young people and their families.
This position will cover our Christchurch Clinic based at Sylvan Street, Middleton and may include time in our Rangiora Clinic based at the Rangiora Hub.
This is challenging and demanding work within a supportive team.Ko wai koe | About YouIn this role, you will be responsible for:Providing comprehensive clinical assessment, psychometric testing, and therapeutic interventions individually or in groups as part of a multidisciplinary team;Developing and regularly reviewing a job plan and caseload with the Clinical Manager;Working collaboratively with young people, family/whanau, community and statutory organisations;Working as a Psychologist in a generic case management model, requiring great organization and excellent time management;Effectively communicating and building relationships with consumers of the service and family/whanau;Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;The clinicians on the Team have a range of skills and areas of clinical expertise who are committed and work hard for young people living in Christchurch and across Canterbury.
CAF North covers Rangiora through to Kaikoura.
Travel is required for Outreach clinics.Specialist Mental Health Services are an interdisciplinary team that forms part of Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora - Canterbury | Waitaha.
