Totara House is an Early Intervention specialist multidisciplinary service for young people (18-28 years) who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. The team aims to reduce the disruption to people's lives by intervening early through a range of services, including community treatment and support, group programmes, and education about psychosis.
Mo te tunga | About the role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychiatrist with a special interest in Early Intervention to join our team in a permanent, part time role (0.7 FTE - 0.8FTE). In this position you will play a vital part in our mission to identify and address mental health concerns in their early stages, thereby improving long-term outcomes for tangata whaiora.
Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of individuals, with a focus on early intervention strategies.Develop personalised treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to consumers and their whanau-family.Offer guidance and support to colleagues regarding early intervention approaches and best practices.Stay current with advancements in psychiatry and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills & Experience To be considered for this role, you must be eligible to gain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand www.mcnz.co.nz.
