Opportunity to become a member of the Rural Special Interest group.This mental health team is small. You will be one of a team of several psychiatrists (3 FTE) working collegially with a stable and experienced workforce to provide specialist services to a population of approximately 32,000 people. We have good systems in place that support collegial relationships and professional development.Rural services require a high degree of flexibility, as the work is diverse. The role is essentially for a generalist and may include responsibility for aspects of general adult psychiatry (community and inpatient), addictions, older persons, and child and adolescents. The exact range of clinical responsibilities will be negotiated in regard to your experience, interests, and the Service needs.The West Coast location offers amazing lifestyle and recreational activity opportunities, professional challenges, and opportunities.
