This is an opportunity to make a difference in people's lives by supporting recovery and future wellbeing. We provide a supportive environment that encourages active learning and a strong team approach to support you in your role and your own wellbeing. Ideally, you will have a Level 4 Health Care Assistant qualification or equivalent or be prepared to undertake the relevant training. Experience in a mental health setting or similar is desirable. If you are kind and compassionate, have a healthy dose of common sense and great communication skills, we would like to hear from you. The Psychiatric Assistant always works under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse, assisting the nursing staff to provide safe and effective care. There is an aspect of physicality in this role, and you will be required to undergo SPEC Training (Safe Practice Effective Communication).
