The Company
Our client is a specialist energy consultancy partnering with distribution networks, transmission networks, and power generators. They undertake power systems studies, detailed design, and project management for their clients' most challenging and technically complex works.

The Role
As a Protection Engineer, you will work closely with our client's energy partners. This will involve engaging with key clients, utilizing your protection knowledge to understand their challenges and creating technical solutions.
This role will require you to curate detailed design and protection schemes, settings, and reports, along with relay configuration for their technical challenges. Alongside external engagement, you will collaborate closely with the internal team to ensure there is synergy throughout projects.
About You
Bringing a passion for the future of the energy sector, you will be a qualified Electrical Engineer with strong experience in a range of transmission or distribution projects. Having undertaken protection studies or power systems analysis, utilizing tools such as Powerfactory, Sincal, or ETAP, you will bring extensive protection knowledge across a range of projects. Your ability to document and openly discuss your technical solutions with clients is essential for the role.
This may see you as somebody at an asset owner, currently working as a Secondary Systems or Protection Engineer, bringing the desire to further develop your technical skills across a more diverse range of challenging and interesting works. Alternatively, you may be an Electrical Engineer with a similar skillset in a consulting environment, seeking the opportunity to continue developing your career with challenging technical works.
