Tait Communications is growing its Bid Management team, to support the ongoing development of the company's work-winning and bidding activity in the EMEA region. The role can be based in the UK, in Austria or in France. It can be flexible; office based, home based or mixed. About the Role This will be a varied and interactive post, liaising with multiple teams across our business. It will especially suit someone who is good with people, a clear communicator, great at prioritizing and multi-tasking and driven by their own high standards and satisfaction of a job well done. Projects are likely to have a high degree of complexity and require a number of products to be offered to participate in to ensure a full and integrated solution is offered. Keeping abreast of the latest technology for the product portfolio is essential, understanding customer and local cultures is important, and the ability to handle a diverse workload under pressure against set timescales and changing deliverables. Functional Outcomes Opportunity searching on tender portals, Document management: Draft, edit and documentation formatting, case study collation, proof reading and overall administration of the bid process, Time Keeping: Attend bid kick-off meetings, prepare the bid plan and ensuring the bid responses are ready by the agreed deadline, Development of an accurate library of materials and resources for the region in cooperation with the Global teams (Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, Services), Implementation of the Bid Tool chosen by the Company into the region; training users and maintaining the library Implementation of a bid log tool to keep track of the bids being worked on for ease of statistics Assist Sales Professionals with their proposal documentation when appropriate, Ensure project archives are properly maintained and filed for review, Make regular reports to the Pre Sales Manager and provide inputs to the Tait Timefiler tool. Team Member Responsibilities In consultation with your Manager / Team Leader: Establish the most appropriate work and project related goals for you personally. Ensure that these goals can be directly related to the team plan and our own development needs. Break these goals down into specific, measurable and achievable objectives for yourself. Demonstrate habit of making plans, taking action and learning from those plans and actions. Work with your Manager to annually produce your Personal Development Plan and review this regularly throughout the year. Professional Competencies Skills Organised Detailed oriented Adaptable Able to manage tight deadlines, Highly proficient with Microsoft suite of applications including Adobe Acrobat Familiar with proposal management tool (QVidian, Loopio, etc.) Team player, but able to use your own initiative Knowledge of a European language would be advantageous (French, Spanish, German) Experience Minimum of 1- 2 years relevant Qualifications APMP certification or equivalent For more information about the role, please view the attached job description.
