As a Property Officer at Waitaki District Council, you will be part of a team that manages a diverse portfolio of properties and assets, ensuring they are effectively utilised and maintained. This role involves providing expert advice on property management, contracts, leasing, and compliance while maintaining property databases and supporting capital and renewal projects.
He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring Qualifications and Experience: A qualification in or working toward property management, asset management, or legal studies, or 3-5 years of relevant experience. A full NZ Driver's Licence is essential.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of property, building, and contract/leasing management, with expertise in legislation related to purchase and sale, easements, subdivisions, resource consents, and tenancy arrangements.
Analytical and Organisational Skills: The ability to assess asset performance, recommend improvements, and manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accurate records.
Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to provide expert advice, liaise with stakeholders, collaborate across multiple teams, and contribute to the success of property and maintenance of the overall portfolio.
Customer Focus: A commitment to ensuring that properties meet community needs while maximising returns to support Council activities.
